Weekly payouts are based on funds from one or two sources:
1. Player contributions and/or
2. Board subsidy: board subsidies are included for major tournaments
An effort is made to pay at least 1/3 of the field, but the exact number of players paid depends on the number of flights and the number of players within each flight.
If both gross and net winners are paid, gross and net payouts are equal.
A player can win gross or net only, not both.
If a silver flight exists for the tournament, the funds are distributed as follows:
Gold flights: # of gold players X per player contribution (e.g. 75 X $5 = $375) plus
% gold players of field X board subsidy (e.g., 75% X $300 = $225); therefore,
Total Gold Payout Pool = $600
Silver flights: # of silver players X per player contribution (e.g. 25 X $5 = $125) plus
% silver players of field X board subsidy (e.g., 25% X $300 = $75); therefore,
Total Silver Payout Pool = $200
